The last crow caws
The pendulum swings
The sidewalk cracks deepen and yawn
The earth ticks and tocks
past the intercepting light
Exiting til the breaking of dawn
Dm Crepuscular influence
Fmaj7 The Sunshine it slows
E The light goes low
Am The darkness it grows
Dm A flattened mere semblance
Am stretches the atmosphere
E That’s when the shadows appear
Don’t believe in ghosts
no time for the dark
Let the scales fall from your eyes
Stomping and stamping
won’t keep the things at bay
the night never walks in straight lines
They confuse a bite with a kiss
They leave their blood fingerprints
